In 2020, Matthew founded the “Reality Capture Network” which has grown into the largest community of reality capture professionals. RCN started as a podcast, and now offers an online education center with a growing library of digital content and hosts an annual conference where experts from around the world gather to share, learn, and network with the community.

Matthew’s goal is to help build a better future. He envisions a vastly different work environment in 20 years and is driven to drive that change by inspiring others to proactively shape the future. In his words, “We have the power to build the future or watch it unfold. The choice is ours.”

Over the last two decades he has influenced or led technology evaluation and implementation across multiple industries, from AutoCAD for aerospace drill bit manufacturing to Computer Vision (CV) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for production tracking in commercial construction.

At DPR he leverages his background in leading the implementation of virtual design and construction (VDC), augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), and reality capture to explore new solutions to today’s construction challenges and enable project teams to leverage technology to enhance all aspects of construction project delivery and asset management.

Josh also serves as Vice-President on the Board of Directors at the U.S. Institute of Building Documentation (USIBD) which promotes and influences the development of standards and resources to serve building documentation (BD) industry professionals and stakeholders.
